Callahan's comments on Freeman....

Callahan: "If you're a prima donna, if you're a drama queen, there's no room for you at Nebraska. You can go to Kansas State."

This was regarding Josh Freeman and his oral commitment to NU and subsequent change to K-State.

If K-State ever needed bulletin board material, this is definitely it. Callahan's a good coach, but he's the last one who should accuse anyone of being a primadonna. He needs to look in the mirror. He was the same way when he was with the Raiders, IMO. With that said, KState still has a tough, tough game ahead of them.

I guess I missed something. I haven't heard any bitching out of Freeman yet this year. Oh well Freeman is a stud and we will see how Callahan feels after the game. I agree it is going to be a tough game but I still think we will pull it out.

That comment was from back when Freeman committed to KSU. Callahan's pissed because an ex-NFL coach lost a top QB prospect who would've fit his offense perfectly to a no-name, young, first-year coach. The has-been just as well hang it up, couldn't cut it in the NFL and hasn't been real impressive in the college ranks either...

That is what I kind of got from it. There was an article about it in the Salina Journal today. Evidently it was said a while back in a speech to some boosters if I read the article right.

Oh I knew about him decommitting but I didn't know where the rest of the comments came from. Sounds like a crying rant to me.
