Grease fittings on Yamaha 250 EFI

I have 2 zirc fittings that are right behind my seastar hydraulic steering...I can't get my grease gun to them. Is there anywhere to get some 45 or 90 fittings for this. I bought some for $3 at Sears, but they were 1/4-28 threads. Does anyone know what Metric thread pattern they are. My dealer said Yamaha doesn't sell them

I haven't looked at mine yet, but will turning the motor all the way to one side give you access?

No, cause the hydraulic steering moves with the motor, so the shaft is always in front of it

If it's the fittings I'm thinking about, if you turn your engine all the way to the right or left, you'll be able to access them. I had the same problem until someone on here suggested I try it and to my surprise, it worked. Perhaps you have a different issue though. Good luck.

I've got a 300 and use a flex neck on the greese gun. Press it on and hold it. Works! Seems to be "just enough room".
    Good luck
