I have an 2004 200 hp ox66. Somehow i hit the cavitation plate on the drivers side and now there is about a 2" piece that got knocked off. Its toward the front of the motor. Is there any way to fix this?

I know of this happening to a Yamaha Vmax on the part of the plate that covers the prop,about half gone and the guy had it welded and repainted.The motor is a 98' and still works.
A good prop shop should beable to weld it up or point you in the right direction.
