found the thread on "stangest thing you caught".......now I have never caught strange things but I was witness to something BAD!


I was Damn fishing for walleye back in 199something (cant mamber) at around 2am. All the sudden I saw a couple guys to my North cut line and get out ASAP....next thing I see was 3 sheriff cars sreaming across the damn road. I was goign to go over to see what was going on but just hooked a nice 26" eye . Once I was done I headed to the car (79' monte carlo back then) and they were ALL coming down and started asking ?'s to people. Apparently smoeone was wading out in 4' water and had a snag and when he pulled it up it was the leg of a body with boot still on........Found out there was a small boat capsized and against the northern most jeggie. This guy was older (60's) and was night fishing and apparently the wind was too strong and rolled him. All the clothes and rubber boots on filled with water and drowned him....later to get caught by local Walleye fisherman as he washed up on the damn.....doesnt bother me now but really messed with me at the time it happened.

I was driving to our city lake, (it sits about 10 miles south of town) when it was really low to check and see if the level came up during a recent rain(which it didn't) and saw a pick-up parked on the side of the road, then i figured he was a poacher hunting. Lots of deer in that area. Anyway, i get closer and see something white layin in the ditch. I think it's a deer, and the guy shags a$$ into the woods, wrong!,, I pull up to the truck and the white thing was a guy laying there with a 20ga single shot, with his eyeball hanging out and blood runnin down his face, needless to say he was dead. I burned outta there as soon as I could to the closest house and called the cops. Talk about creepy! Now if I see broken down cars I turn around and go the other way!! just kiddin, but that really did happen.
