WOW I had no idea. I have that same motor. I may have to keep a lookout for a spare. What is the main reason to have one? Do they sometimes crack or is it mainly to keep for when you go to resale? This is my first new boat/motor. Everything else I haven't really cared about b/c I didn't pay much.

I think I have a couple around the shop that came off scratch/dents, they may have some minor damage if anyone needs one let me know. I know I have some for 3.1 liters and maybe some for 3.3 hpdis also,

ive heard of people cracking them by backing into peirs, etc. also heard of some people forgetting to latch them down after they look at the motor and it flying off going down the highway or water. not frequently at all but for less than $80 thats a deal that is hard to pass
