    Prop Shaft Replacement

Looks like the last stump did me in.
I need to replace the prop shaft (mybe bearings and gears etc..), it is now .02" off center.

I'm pretty darn fearless when it comes to tearing down equipment and rebuilding, but not sure on this one.

Are there any special tools or procedures required to replace the prop shaft on a
2004 225 HPDI? any help would be appreciated.

I know I can get all of the parts from Boats.net (unless there is a better supplier), but not sure on tools and process.

    Thanks

    Re: Prop Shaft Replacement (Fishjunk)

First thing to do would be order yourself a service manual if you don't have one already. http://www.Yamahapubs.com. Or if you post your email I can send you the lower unit section.
