We have some great participation on the Kansas Club Board. What can we do to make this board and our KS BBC Club even better? Start brainstorming guys, let's hear some ideas.
1. I definitely think we need to organinze a get together. I think we've all agreed on that, so we'll just have to work out the details.

I have just started on this site not too long ago, and was unsure when the last BBC rally was for Kansas. Would be interested in doing another one
Just not sure how busy everyone else is. I can get off work with a week in advance, so any day is good for me

I'm not much of a tourny fisherman-- but would enjoy getting together..
Maybe -- If the guys could start posting there fishing luck or lack of-- on the KS Board-- with info like -- lake -- areas on the lake and lures that worked and time of the day ..Just a thought..
and / or -- Hey does Tyson still have some Flowers

When I was in the FL BBC Club we fished once a quarter as an organized club event. It worked well because most folks fished other circuits as do most of you all here in KS. There were unorganized fun trips on the spur of the moment type thing that a few guys jumped on. I've participated in 3 or 4 BBC events and have found the common theme to be fellowship and the fishing was sort of a byproduct of coming together. So, I guess my recommendation would be to keep it low key since I expect that the demographics of the KS club are diverse and we have representatives of a broad spectrum. For example Jason and Tyson are GREAT Tournament anglers and I am may not know the difference between a spinner bait and a crank bait. I recommend a low entry fee, fun type thing. Maybe a Tourney once a fiscal quarter with a BBQ at the lake after the weigh in as an opportunity to meet and greet.

I'll be around so whatever is decided would probably work. If we do have a tourney I think Jason should be out of the running due to his knowledge of the lake. Unless I am his partner.

We are only limited by our imagination. Say you have 4 tournaments a year you could have a different theme for each. For the first you could run it as a low key with a BBQ Social after, the second could be a Âyouth partner event w / BBQ after, the third could be a guys and dolls type thing where you have to have a female partner (I will of course be paired with Janet Parker) the fourth could be a team event and you can throw curves in like an hourly big bass weigh in, every two hours you have to swap partners, or you have to throw a buzzbait for the first hour, spinnerbait 2nd hour, crankbait on hour 3, plastic worm on hour 4, a jig during the 5th hour and then your choice for the remainder. Or you can divide the lake up into a Âhole course rotate every 90 minutes or so. Again there are no limits to the fun that you can have with these ides
OK, here is suggestion for our board:
How about we pin a suggestion box thread at the top of the board and encourage everyone to make any kind of suggestion, proposal or pitch an idea. We let the replies build up for a month or quarter and then Tyson and I (the mods) will look them over together and pick a suggestion to implement. It will then be up to all of us to implement and make the new suggestion work.

Hey with the gas prices so out of control have a gas give away. $5.00 a ticket. Take a kid fish seems played out but there's nothing like see a kid caughting 1st fish. May be to late for this year. Crappie are catfish proably best result.
