    The Rematch

Let the trash talk begin. With any luck the moderates will separate the Indiana Kentucky forum. IU gets out in a close one to setup the most highly anticipated rematch of the season. Keep playing the video of the end of game one. The extra fuel will be good. Sorry IU, this game is in Catlanta. Get ur tickets early, the blue is already there.

    Re: The Rematch (Jim 294)

This could get ugly in this forum. All the IU fans around my hometown have got really quiet since the bracket came out. I dont think the players will get all hyped up over that first game. UK will take it business as usual. They have a bigger goal.

IU barely gets by VCU on the road so there's no way they come close to upsetting the cats in our home away from home. Wish I could be in catlanta to watch the beat down IU has coming. I just got back from the cats first 2 games in Louisville and the big blue nation was rocking. The boys look determined and IU has their hands full. Ohhhhhhh C-A-T-S CATS CATS CATS!!!!!

well we know how classy all you cat fans are. NOT. All you guys do is talk trash. IU BEAT ky that whole game, and then ky came back in the last few mins. But iu did not steal that game. They deserved to win it and yes they had to hit a shot at the end but it was a wide open look. A shot he should have made. So no it really wasnt luck. Ky is a great team this year but IU already beat them once and i dont think its gonna be a beat down like all you classy ky fans think. VCU was a good team. what happend at the Vandy-KY game??? Yea thats what i thought... im sure you guys have excuses cause you always do if ky loses a game..So if IU loses i guess we can say well one of our best players was hurt so......HOO HOO HOOSIERS!!!!!

Can't say there is no way IU won't win. Every team has a chance to win. I am sure KY fans were feeling great when they went down 2 with like 10 minutes left. Lets go HOOSIERS

How dilusional can an IU fan be? The 2 different leads by Kentucky of 4 points and then 6 points in the first half is IU BEATING Ky the whole game, really? Yes Indiana won the game. That Free Throw Defense that IU has is the best in the nation. Anthony Davis misses the front end of a 1-1 and Doron Lamb misses 1 of 2 in the last 20 seconds or the shot at the end has no meaning. But don't worry, because Free Throws will not be the difference come Friday night. We are going to put you out of your misery early. About halfway thru the second half you are going to be wishing that first game had ended differently and flipping channels to find something else on because you can't stand to watch anymore. On the prospects of Indiana beating Kentucky Friday night, can be summed up by NCAA - No Chance At All

    GO CATS!!!

    Re: The Rematch (elnutsmalljaws)

Mods please talk to Al about splitting the KY/IN bass club forum. Please notice I put KY 1st because that's where they are #1. For those IU fans above who say "you can't say they have no chance" well I did and I'll continue to say it. IU's 3 biggest wins all came at home and it involved the other teams giving the games to them. They didn't take any of them and again they can't win on the road against a top ranked team. No offense to VCU but they were not a good team. Not too many 12 seeds are national contenders. Perhaps you all should read the article posted on ESPN a couple weeks ago on how pissed the UK players were about that commercial airing so much. UK has extra motivation for this game, yet they really don't need it.

So does the KY bass club forum need to be split into a Louisville/KY forum?

Just group Louisville in with Indiana since they are both one in the same. Then seperate Indiana and Kentucky

Hey now......The filthy city of looserville and its inhabitants belong to the state of KY and its people. Not all of us that live in Indiana are fans of IU. There are thousands of UK fans over here and I happen to be one of them.
I doubt if UK needs any kind of motivation for the next game. IU hasn't gotten any better as a team since the first game but UK definitely has...

Have you seen the State Farm commercial with Bob Knight in it?....It's kinda funny and brings back memories of what kind of a-hole he was and probably still is.

I think most of the die hard IU fans will be praying for another miracle like last time only this time the big man ain't gonna be listening.

    Re: The Rematch (Jim 294)

As I have said before...I don't care about Kentucky at all...but I can't stand IU and their fans. So I will be rooting for the Miami Heat, who masquerade as the Wildcats. But I have to say that IU certainly does have a chance to beat the Cats again...not much of one, but it's there. What major team has Kentucky beat this year on the road? They did beat North Carolina by one and Kansas by 10 maybe. But only one of those games was on the road. They've not even played any other major teams unless you count Vanderbilt.

Louisville and Florida (three times) were both top 10 teams when Kentucky beat them. And how about that, both are in the sweet 16.

Louisville was a home game, one Florida game was a home game. When they beat Florida in the SEC tournament...it was in New Orleans. So they have not had to beat anyone of any note in that team's place, other than the one Florida game. And it seems that I remember a lot of KY fans saying Lousiville wasn't any good, so that win is meaningless...right?

    Re: The Rematch (billius)

If Kentucky hasn't played any other major college teams except Kansas and North Carolina, then why is their Strength of Schedule #25? Syracuse SOS was #22 and Indiana was #31 for example of 2 schools left in the Sweet 16 that play in "better" conferences than UK. Kentucky went 7-1 against teams still standing in the Sweet 16 with blowout victories over Florida 3 times, Louisville (yes it was a blowout even though the score says differently), Kansas and a 1 point victory over UNC very early in the season. Indiana is going to get drilled come Friday night. A team of Freshmen and Sophomores, with 3 Freshmen starting playing in their 9th game together is when they were beat by IU. They have logged enough minutes since to be considered experienced Sophomores and are not the same team they were in December. IU will get Terrance Jones this game plus a more experienced Teague to run the team. Vandy did UK a favor by beating us in the SEC tourney just like Mississippi State did in 1998. Arrogance and invincibility is out the window and the swagger is back.

You Kentucky fans are easier to get riled up then the IU fans are...and they are really easy to get riled up.

While I agree with some of what you're saying, get your facts right. Miss. St beat UK in the SEC tourney final in 1996. That was the Rick Pitino Championship. UK is 6-1 against teams in the sweet 16, not 7-1.

It's a good thing those road games don't matter now. These games are all on neutral sites. I don't really buy into this stuff that you HAVE to beat a ton of teams on the road. Yes, it provides a little better experience in hostile environments, but what do you gain come tourney time. Kentucky will essentially play 4 home games. The 2 in Louisville were home games, the games in Atlanta will also be like home games for UK. There is a reason they call it Catlanta.

    Re: The Rematch (buzzking)

My prediction....1st half will be a close game score will be +/- 5 points at half time then Kentucy will win by 20. I don't think IU will beat them again but obviously its why they play, who woulda thought Duke would loose or Missouri. If Zeller stays out of foul trouble and can get Davis into foul trouble the may have a chance.
