    Lower Unit Oil Change Question

When I went to empty the lower unit the oil was very thick I let it drain for 30 min raised the motor and then put it down and a bunch more oil came out. I did this 5 or 6 times and then I decided to pump in the new oil from the top hole to flush out the old stuff a bit more since amsoil oil is honey color and the other stuff was a blueish Green. I still only got about 1 quart in it. I pumped the oil in untill it started to come out the top hole but should I let it settle or raise and lower the engine a few times and then try and add more? I just don't want to be low?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Re: Lower Unit Oil Change Question (overthetop)

Good question. I'd like to know the same thing as I plan on changing mine in the next week or so.
