You need to get 250 points to qualify for the regional. From there you fish the regional and get into the to 30 percent in that to make the classic. If you don't make that then you can fish the 2 chance tournament. It is alright fished it for 3 years now and its pretty fun tournaments about anywhere you want to fish.
I like the low entry fees and how it is pretty casual. There's usually a fairly low number of boats, but it varies by division. The one I fish out of Cox Park here in Louisville on the Ohio usually has about 12 - 15 boats per tournament.
To qualify for the regionals, you have to acquire 250 points in the same division - once you qualify, you can fish in any of the regional tournaments and in as many as you like.

Not true. They now have an open Division which means you can fish any tourney you want and it counts. We fished 3 tournies in 3 divisions last year and qualified for regionals.

I forgot about the Open format.![]()
It's really not that hard to get qualified to fish the regionals, or the classic if you really want to go.
How does the open format work? Just show up and fish any tournament you want? As long as you have 250 overall points you can make the regional? I was wondering this because I work a weird schedule and wasn't going to fish if I didn't have a shot at regionals or the classic.
Ya just fish whichever tournament you want to once you become a member and get over 250 points and you qualify for the regional.
It seems as long as you fish five tournaments you will get show up points (50x5=250) and you will qualify for the Regional. If you finish in the top 30% of the Regional you qualify for the Classic. If you do not finish in the top 30% then you fish the Cup. Am I correct?

That is correct but I think they should move the cup until after the classic. Along with all the other little pot tournies there the week prior to the classic.
Your just beating up the fish for the classic. Make the Classic the firt event and everything else the week after.
