    Ky lake 29 September

feast or famine....today was startvation on top of hunger covered with a massive dose off famine!

fished from vickers down to turkey bay and back. was one of the worst days i've ever had on Ky lake. not one fish! not one little short fish. massive schools of bait everywhere we went. i was marking fish left and right on sonar and sidescan and not one bite! worked ledges, main lake and secondary points, transition banklines and shallow flats. i have never been completely skunked on Ky lake before, usually there are a few short fish that give you a tug, but not today. i have no idea where it all went wrong.

started off with sammy's at dawn, threw crankbaits, jigs, jerkbaits and shaky heads after that. ZERO!

That's humbling. We've all been there.

Hate to hear that. I'll bet the next trip out will make up for it, plus some.

Daniel you would rather do that than go to Dale? Well that time of the yr on Dale its F&F and guess you will have have to mess with that on KY.

I always plan on fishing the last week. They usually are starting to hit the jig fairly well then.

Re: Ky lake 29 September (Daniel)

I try to get down to Dale atleast every other weekend or so in the winter....Over the past couple years it's taught me theres nowhere else I'd rather be....I've FNF fished a bunch and have had some minimal success with it but for me I'll use live bait everytime....I can keep my hands somewhat warm in my pockets and the amount of fish we catch is great....Dead of winter catching 3-5 overs everytime out is hard to beat, plus tons in the 18-20" range ...

You do know that you have to use the original Silver Buddy, no knock offs.

no, i have a special bait that is normally deadly on ky lake. i normally don't start throwit until the water gets below 60 degrees

I fished the saturday before that. Four bass total and two drum. One bass was a keeper. there was a ton of bait everywhere I went too.
