I had a friend at church tell me they went bow fishing below Kentucky Dam and had several big head carp. People had told him that they were good white meat. He usually is a crappie eater, but was willing to try it. So he took one home, fried it up, and swears that it was delicious!
Anyone else testify to the taste?
Ive always given mine away....to certain other people that love them. Tried it once, very fishy to me and almost slimy? tasting if that makes sense. But its just like wild game, the person preparing it means more than anything.
I heard the same thing the other day?????????

Dog's pretty good, but a little greasy and you can't beat "Rat on a Stick". I know of several people who've eaten cat thinking they were eating racoon.Funny I think somebody figured something out because we had to start leaving a foot on the racoons we sold.

Always heard that if you boil drum, it tastes like shrimp........never tried it....
As someone else said, it's all in how you prepare it. Asians definitely know how to prepare fish; I had some dang good sushi last night, but have no idea what kind of fish it actually was, could have been carp for all I know
I was watching KY afield this weekend and a guy held up a 30-40 lber at least from below the Mcalpine locks
