Hey, anyone been there lately? Looking for clarity and water temps if anyone knows?

Muddy, mid 40's and five feet over summer pool at 6:00 this am.
Saturday the lower end and mid lake was 44 and clear. The lake was almost 2 ft over summer pool. I went upstream and ran ito a mudline that was 48-9. Since then Green got another round of heavy rain and is currently 5 ft over summer pool and still rising. Just a guess but the entire lake should have color buy now with 75% of the lake having heavy color.
Fished around holmes bend yesterday afternoon and it was muddy. Temps were around 50 but it looks like chocolate milk.![]()

Saturday the mudline was between Holmes Bend and Corbin's bottoms. Monday we got another heavy rain; I noticed the lake is 8 ft over summer pool per corp of engineers web site. Do you know where the mud line is located at now. I am suppose to go Friday and I am trying to figure out what ramp I want to use. I live 4 miles from Holmes Bend but I use 3-4 different ramps on the lake.
I'll be there Friday as well. Prob try ramp 1 if open or state. Look me up, maroon tr186 with A&W and Long John Silvers on the boat. Looking to try the HD side and down imaging I put on.
When you say State do you mean State Park Marina or Lone Valley because both are in the State Park...if it was me I would put in at Lone Valley because Ramp 1 and State Park Marina are both difficult to unload in high water.
I just watched the weather and they are giving a good chance of rain for Friday morning and a chance of heavy rain Saturday. Before the water rose I had a couple of decent trips. Since the water came up I have not done any good. I was going to fish this Friday but the weather man has changed the forcast from rain Friday PM to Friday AM; If it looks like rain I may not go. I am going to be off all next week for spring break so I may just wait.
Well, I went out yesterday and found that the lake was tough to say the least but I thought I would share what I found but this new rain will change things again.
Water temps at 8 am was 45.8 at lone valley. When I pulled out around 3, it rose to 48.6. Water color depende where you were.... From the dam towards holmes bend it was choc milk.... Go the other direction and it had about 2 feet visabiliy and ther was an extreme color line where the two met near the dam
The wind was blowing so hard there was not a difference in temp from pockets to main lake.
Thrusday night me and my partner decided to look at the radar friday morning and make a last minute decision on wether to fish or stay at home. All the rain was in western Ky so we went fishing. We fished areas that had the most protection from the gusting wind. We found water temps from 45-51 pending the area.
I noticed something strange...I said," look at that tree, the mudline is 3-4" above the water level." Sure enough when I got home I checked the corps of engineers site and they opend the main gate to 1.4 and pulled 3" of water in a 24 hour period. That killed our plan of fishing in the backs of stuff where water was more warm, less muddy and protected from the wind. Strange thing is they only pulled water for 24 hours because now they have the gate sitting at .10 barley discharging water.
We ended up with 3 keepers and 1 short. No patter to speak of because all three keepers came on different baits under different circumstances. We did however have a good average 1@5 1@4-1/4 1@2 pounds.
I live near the lake and I noticed it has been raining steadly all morning. If we get much more rain the entire lake should be muddy. Hopefully the lake will be back down to summer pool and stable buy the time the main spawn gets here.
