2011 BFL LBL division tenative schedule....

I saw JC25's post and I'd thought I'd call them and see what the tentative schedule for the LBL was....here's what they told me...

March 5th Kenlake Marina
March 26th Dam
April 16th Moors
May 14th KenLake Marina
Sept. 10-11 Dam
Oct. 27-29 Regional- Lake Dardenelle, AR

I'm doing the boater side in 2011......cuz I feel I need to donate more to the cause...

That March 5 may be a cold one for sure. I am thinking about coming out of retirement for the BFL again next year, will be the first since 1995 when i won the LBL division.

Is was really bad last fall at the BWS National's. DNR guys out there told us that they had a fish kill recently due to some type of disease and that the numbers were extremely low. The week before we got there,one of the bigger buddy tourneys they have there was won with 11.??lbs. and locals said it is usually close to,if not,20lbs that wins that one. It was extremely tough to say the least. Also very dangerous in my opinion. Not marked well at all.

Man I hate to hear that. We caught some nice fish back in '07, and then a couple of guys on this board won a college tournament on it in '08 or '09.

It seemed to fish a lot like a river to me with the shallow creek arms/bays holding decent numbers of fish.

It had some great thick grass on it back then - did it recently die out or something?

Yes,just last year. No grass either,just a couple spots of submerged grass,but very little and nothing on top. The lake looks great,all of the creek arms like you mentioned looks like they should be loaded with fish. The guy I practiced with came in 12th out of 200 boaters. His 4 day total,yes 4, was 20.4lbs.

When we were there, the grass was so thick in places that muskrats were walking around on top of it! And that was in March!

Me and L.M. fished the last tournament in 1990, me and Randy started fishing together in 1991 Scott. I remember well because i broke my ankle in 1989 when L M made me get on those darn four wheelers

I remember you breaking your ankle right after you got the 4 wheeler. 91 makes since I have the tourney results from the Briggs company tourneys and 91 is the first year you guys didn't fish. Dan Morehead and his partner beat my wife and I that year.
