Green River Lake - never been - might go Sunday for anything that swims

Any tips or advice? Planning to put in at the state park marina.

Will fish for anything that's hot right now.

the bluff across from the State Park campground is a good place. start at the cut-through and work north. Jigs, shakey heads big worms- to me its kinda like a smaller version of Cumberland

What's the best way to get there from Louisville?

    I-65 to E-town, then 61, then 210?

I-65 to the Lincoln Parkway (east) to the end then 210 through Campbellsville.

Green is a pretty lake - but you might just want to come on down a little further. I went to Barren this morning and caught somewhere around 40 bass. Nothing huge - but lots of fun anyway.

I agree. Go to Barren. We have a tournament pretty soon there.

I know, but I've got some friends I'm meeting up with around noon - fish in the morning, play in the afternoon.

Don't worry about Barren, I'll get down there soon enough....I think I feel a little illness coming on

Ended up not going. Stayed too late at the State Fair on Sat. and slept in on Sunday. Ended up heading to Taylorsville for some catfish - brought home a few slabs that will be eaten tonight!!!

Thanks for all of the info though! Green River is definitely on my to do list of lakes!
