Anybody been on brookville lately? What are they biting on
Anyone that's fished Brookville Lake...knows they don't bite there.![]()
I used to fish it all the time...I lived about 30 miles north of there forever. Not heard any reports on the lake since earlier in the spring. I'd probably throw jig and pig, tubes and Texas rigged worms. Sometimes top water in the early morning is good this time of year too.

Of course I talk to myself...sometimes I need expert advice.
Fished TX there tuesday. Took over 9lbs to win a four hour tourney. Jigs, tubes and a late top water bite. All keepers were largemouth but caught alot of short smallies. Better get there while their hitting it dosent last long.
Fished the Fishers of Men a couple weeks ago and we were culling in the first 1/2 hour.... caught over 25 keepers.... You put some time in there and you can find the fish.
Its not a bank beaters lake!!!
Last night we only had 8 boats turn out, but all had limits except 1 boat. We had 10 keepers over the night. It took over 13lbs to win.
There was over 70# of fish weighed in.
So as for they never bite at brookville then this must be never. In my last 3 trnys we had 2 limits and one 4 fish bag in a 4hr trny. They are hiting about everything but a topwater.![]()
I have a question and if you don't know or feel you should not share that's fine. Any info would help. My uncle is in from out of state and I might take him over to Brookville tomorrow evening (Tues.) for some fun bass fishing. Do you have any pointers? Thanks
I just got back from there. Had a great weekend and caught a lot of keepers both largemouth and smallies. The water was in the lower 80s. The fish were still shallow. We have been camping there on holiday weekends for the past 3 years and this year by far was the most productive we have had.
Thanks RangerQuazi, I'm not sure what end of the lake to try first. I will hit the shallows. (Main Lake or Creeks)??
Are the bass still shallow? I have a tournament there tomrrow.
Disrespect is the worst form of respect!!!
I found them in a varity of places and no pattern on baits.
