My favorites are H&H, but there are about as many decent rods as there are guys to use them.
I have an H & H jig mh jig rod that I really like as well.
My spin tackle is G-Loomis Bronzeback series and I love them! The 7'7" and 7'4" are great for finesse tackle.
My other jig rod is an All Pro Atlantis 7'6" medium that does great on 1/2-3/4oz jigs and 1/2oz swimbaits!
H&H, Powell, both make a great rod in your price range. Also a new rod I have started using and just LOVE is a Phenix. ULTRA MBX 707H, $239.00 but only weights 4.4 oz for a 7'-7" rod![]()
There rods start @ $189 and can be found at Bass Tackle Depot who also happens to be a BBC sponsor.

Now if you would be interested in a G-Loomis let me know, don't remember right now but think its a 7'-2" CR Bronzeback series and I need to let it go because I hate Loomis rods, or should say that is the only one out of the 4 that has not broke.
Thad...check us out..these rods are awesome..custom rods without the price...I switched from loomis ....and depending on how many you need I can get you a sweet deal![]()
If I were going to spend that much I'd look at the Loomis GL3. I've got one and really love it plus you get the warranty too.
Shimano Cumara....100% , no questions asked , nationwide , FREE over the counter replacement warranty. Break any way , any how , any shimano dealer will put a new one in your hand if they have it in the store. When I find a better rod with a better warranty I will consider switching. If you are savvy you can pick em up here and there for around 165.00. Its taken me many years and alot of money with different rods to arrive at my opinion........But it is , just my opinion....![]()

Thanks for the help guys. There are so many options out there its hard to know were to start.
St Croix Avid series is a good production rod.
If you can find a local rod builder you may be better off checking to see what they have available for around $200.
I prefer custom so I can split the handle, ditch the fore grip, and micro the guides.![]()
Don't forget to look at Falcon rods also... Great warranty also... Dan![]()
