    P-LINE

I started using p-line earlier this year and have broke off more big fish with it than i care to mention, more than i ever did in my life with mono....thing is i love the sensibility. I cant go back to mono for my worm rods because it floats, theres no sensitivty, and it stretches....anybody have a suggestion for a good fluoro? I'm trying seaguar right now but havent hooked a big fish since I put it on....any help guys??? Thanks

    Re: P-LINE (Slow Rollin)

P-line 100% flouro will break if you are using anything less than 20 lb. the 20 won't break but it coils like a slinky and is thick as rope. seaguar invis-x is stout all the way down to 8 lb. I dropped the P line about 3 years ago, been using invis-x ever since. Has yet to cost me a fish that was not my fault for re-tying in bad situations or whatever. Still use the pline CXX for all mono applications, that stuff is a stud line.

    Re: P-LINE (Joe Skeeter)

Best line for the money hands down is RED LABEL .... I have been using this since it came out and not broke off a fish all year...

BPS isn't as good as it used to be since they change the formula heard a lot of people having problems with the new stuff...

I've been using Berkley 100% Floro for over a year. It's good stuff.

P-Line Seaguar or Stren 100% Fluoro
I have gone back to using mono or braid and adding a flouro leader if needed.

    Re: P-LINE (dday2828)

P-Line fluoro sucks ass. Now, the mono P-line is the strongest stuff I've ever used, and I use it on most rods. I've been using Vicious 15lb fluoro and I like it pretty well. I haven't hooked any monsters yet though!

    P-LINE always

All I can say is I spent over $200 on line the past years and always come back to P-Line...15# for fast baits and 20# for bottom baits...the CXXQFG that looks green is my only line...I even swung over a 4.21 last month and it held...be sure to tie a good wet knot and change last foot-re-tie once a day when competing and when you tie on for an event. Works for me as they say.

I would use only Triple Fish (super strong and low price too) but I want to see my line at all times...too many cypress tree limbs and such.

    Re: P-LINE always (reelman)

I feel the berkley 100% is far superior to the pline. I use the 6 and 8 like its 12 and 15 of the other stuff. try it i love it

Besides the price.....Does anyone know the difference between the Red Label/Carbon Pro/InvisX? I've used all three and cannot tell a difference. By far, the best flourocarbon is Seagar or Stren 100% Flourocarbon.

    Re: P-LINE (dday2828)

In my experience with different anglers who fished with me the most common problem with break offs is poorly tied knots. I agree that plines fluro isnt the best but it is not to bad. Im not saying your stupid and dont know how to tie a proper knot but just giving something else to think about. What kind of knot are you currently using? I have found whatever knot your using wetting it with your spit to pull the knot together sometimes doesnt lubricate the line enough. When you pull your knot tight does your line coil up at all near the knot?

    Re: P-LINE (leroyconnaly)

like alot of people said before:
    InvisX or Carbon Pro
    BPS
    Red Label.

Cody landed a 33lb cat fish in texas on 10 lb xps fluro and that pretty much sold me on the stuff.

Same here. Was surprised to see this posted, because I've been thinking the same thing. I started transitioning to the RED LABEL about two months ago and am pretty happy with it, and I like the price too!
