    Spoon Fishing: KY/Barkley

I see where guys are catching bass with spoons. What technique is used, do they rip it off the bottom or what ??

Do they rip it off the bottom or just pull it up slowly off the bottom? Do you let it sink on slack line? Wanting to try this on other waters and want to know the technique.

You jerk it hard and let it fall just like stroking a jig, they will hit it on the fall every time.

If you are loosing a lot of fish, your using too stiff a rod. You don't need to use a flipping stick to fish one.

Just curious now what rod you guys are using now. I'm using a MH Fast Avid and doing well. I've lost a few fish but not enough that I'm concerned.
