I love Laurel Lake

Went down to Laurel again yesterday. Did not have a SINGLE BITE all day. Water temps were 42-43. My dad went with me and did manage to catch 8.... Oh wait those were trout Talked to 2-3 other boats that were biteless as well.

There was also a small tournament down there... won with 2 fish for I think 8-9lbs. 2nd was 1 fish for 3 something. No other fish weighed. Man this is gonna be one fun BFL.

No, its not good at all. I'd rather have my eyes burnt out with a blow torch than go back to Laurel

On a better note, the water should warm up to "maybe" 50 by the tournament.

Temps are supposed to be above 60 until thurs and then only drop to the 50's by the tournament.

Someone tell me how to catch fish when you cant get a bite fishing points, pockets, cuts, creeks, wood, chunk rock, boulders, standing timber, bluffs, main lake, the river, heads of creeks, stained water, muddy water, mirky water WITH a jig, crank, jerkbait, fly, silver buddy, shakey head, drop shot, or swimbait?

I cant find any stinking baitfish either

I don't know what your problem is cause we flat wore them out!
We fished from 9:30 until 6:30 and caught two!
We also lost two! That means we got FOUR bites.
It was on like donkey kong on the big L yesterday!
You're just gonna have to fish alot faster and really burn that topwater bait up if your going to catch em like us!

This is why no one should prepay for a tournament. Good luck the locals in London and Corbin are counting the money already, wonder if they are gonna tip the man who made the schedule.

There are locals in ANY tournament you fish. If your not confident you can beat the "locals" then you have no business fishing tournaments at all. And Coby you used to fish the BFL

At this point in time, I'm not sure I can beat anyone on Laurel . If no one pre-payed, then when fishing got tough, half the field would drop out.

i know but with your level of frustration I couldnt help but poke you a little. Good luck Drew that lake has my number, 1/8 oz. jig with shad look a like on points 50-60 ft. deep isnt my idea of fun.
