    how often does this happen ??

    Im fishing the renegade on sunday...dragging the c-rig on a drop..this fish it so hard that it leaves a bruise on my ribs and doesnt get hooked up..seriously I still have a bruise...later in the day..another drop...same thing happens only this time it snaps my 30 lb braid..Ive heard people tell me for years that a smallie will try and break your arm sometimes...but man I didnt believe it..largemouth just dont hit that hard..and I was using my secret smallie bait.. .only wound up with 4 fish..bad execution day on my part..then to top it off..got the fish in the weigh bag stepping out of the boat and one of them jumps straight up out of the bag like 4 ft in the air and right back in the lake...craziest thing Ive ever seen..after the day I had ,I just l

    I've had it happen too. I was fishing a C'rig and had just casted and decided to move to another spot. I started reeling in as fast as I could, the trick worm was almost to the boat, about 5 feet in front of the TM when a 5 lb smallie wacked it!!

    The rod hit me so hard it knocked the air out of me, I caught the fish and then threw back to the fish that was following him with a tube and caught it as well.

    I'm just messing with ya. I've heard a lot of people saying this year that they have broken off on the hookset multiple times this year on Dale setting the hook using braided line. I've never gotten a bruise from a fish but I've had them dang near take the rod from me this spring on Dale.

    I vote it was a DRUM .... I watched Matt get owned by a ledge fish on Barkley last year. he still talks about that bite... just the other day he said "man I wish I could have landed that one that nocked the shit out of my brush hog on that one ledge last summer. He could tell it had shoulders
