Need a little help for Cumberland.

Ive been lurking and soaking up knowledge for quiet a while but I rarely post so here goes.

Well I have decided to join a club(Ky River Bassmasters) so I can fish some tournaments and learn some stuff. I bought a boat last summer and had it on the water 6 times last year with very, very minimal success. I am a stream and river fisherman by heredity simply because my dad never owned a boat so we just sat on the river bank. Needless to say I am a bit out of my element and comfort zone on a lake. At any rate the first tournament is this saturday on Cumberland, puttin in at Jamestown. I havent the fogiest of a plan so anything, anything at all would be appreciated.

    Welcome to the nuthouse!
There ain't no stinkin' fish in the Dead "C"
It's not hardly time for the jerkbait bite, SO I would chunk jigs on the main lake points "It's Peanut Butta Jelly Time" I've had success with a white spinner after a rain this time of year........Good Luck!

Bring a push pole to move all the debris out of your way....upper end of the lake has enuff debris in it to make you not want to get on plane. Spinnerbaits worked for a friend this past weekend...slow rolled...in stained/muddy water
