lol, funny you said that. it was actually chilly down there till about 3. stayed overcast until about then. about the time i left, it REALLY warmed up and the sun came out. nice day to be on the water
So what kinda fishin did we miss out on?

oh boy.... you opened up a can of worms on this one
got off to a really bad start this morning. got all the way to mt. vernon on 75 when i realized i hadnt renewed my fishing licenseso had to run to walmart, figured while i was there id go ahead and get a lake pass and knock out 2 birds with 1 stone. so i get to walmart, walk back to the outdoors section, no ones there. thats fine, i just get someone to page the outdoors person. 15 minutes later..... he shows up. get my license and find out that they dont sell the lake passes. so, left there and stopped at 4 consecutive gas stations with no luck of getting a pass. the only gas station that i knew carried the passes was closed. so i took of to the lake and decided they would just have to ticket me lol.
finally, found a little grocery store that had a pass. got on the lake, and pulled into the 1st cut of the day. 2nd cast, nailed a 4lber. 2 casts later, another 4lber. and from then until 3:30 not another bite. except for the stupid trout.
and... to top it off, as i get on 75 to go home, i get up to 70mph and my truck starts shaking so i hard i thought the boat had come off the hitch. pulled over, checked tires and bearnings... nothing. so i get back on the road, get back to 70mph, same thing. almost shakes me off the road. so after driving 50mph all the way home i finally find out the tred on my back passenger trailer tire has been ripped off
weather was nice and still had a fun day, would do it all over gain tommorow if i didnt have class
Your lucky I didn't go with you, It would have been worse.
I forgot about those parking passes down there. What a PIA. Glad you got home with your rig in one piece.
That brings back nightmares Drew. I have owned 2 boats in the last 3 years and have had a tire come apart going down the road on both of them.
i cant believe it didnt blow!!! i got it into the garage and i could hear the air hissing out of it, but i guess the leak was slow enough to keep it inflated all the way home. got real lucky on that one
