West Kentucky Boat and Outdoor Show

The West Kentucky Boat and Outdoor Show will be held in Murray this Friday-Sunday: Jan 18-20.

The folks from The Cabin Bait and Tackle and our own Charlie Hardin here from Charmer Baits will have a booth set up with a lot of good stuff to restock your tackle for the coming season. Come on by and say hello.

For anyone interested, I will be doing two seminars at the show on Finesse Fishing for Bass. My seminars are schedules at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 3:30 pm on Saturday. There will be other folks doing seminars during the show including Pat Hahs of KyHydrografx. Pat does a good seminar on using his Hydrographx maps of Kentucky Barkley and also on using gps.

Note: The admission to this show is free so the Price is Right..

Rodney I was glad to see you guys were there at set up yesterday. From what I had previously been told I did not expect you all to be there this year...Glad there was a change of mind. Having your boats and that Jet-a-Marina banner there adds a touch of class to the show.

Here are a couple "good deals" I picked up on at the show yesterday....The Cabin contracted with Bandit to have them make a run of Sexy Shad Bandit 100, 200 and 300. You can't go anywhere else right now and get them as this is a special order run.

Fat Jack at the show is getting out of doing business with Zoom...he is selling out all of his Zoom plastics. He was getting like 1.75 for a bag a lizards.

Dave, would love to be there but this is the last weekend of bow season and me and some buddies are gonna hunt this evening, drink a few "totties" afterwards and then grill some big ol' porterhouse steaks I bought at the butcher this morning. Good luck.

Re: West Kentucky Boat and Outdoor Show (Slopfishin)

This was one of the smaller shows I have ever visited and ended up this was one of the absolute BEST!!! I finally got to meet Charlie Hardin with Charmer baits, Sean Long with SLONGS, several BBC guys, and spent 2 hours talking with Mark Menendez. They had a great presentation on side imaging and Dave Stewart's finesse fishing seminar was awesome.

I got to ask Mark about sponsorship deals and what some of his suggestions where for landing good sponsorships.

It was also great to spend some time with several people from the Cabin bait store. As usual they put me on some great new baits from SLONGS and Charmer.

The food and drinks were DAMN good last night. Too bad steak costs so much or I'd eat it every night!

Spent most of the day working at the Cabins booth Saturday, met a few folks from the BBC. The crowds were not all that big but a lot of folks did stop by the Cabins booth.Dave Stewarts seminar got my son fired up, he harrased the fish in the fish pond for hours. I don't think they would let him stoke a jig there though

Re: West Kentucky Boat and Outdoor Show (KattFish)

Just got back last night from the Murray show and we had a great time just tired now. Really enjoyed meeting some of the BBCrs I hadn't met before and also catching up with some I already knew.

I didn't get the chance to see all of Dave's seminar but I did peek around the corner when I could and it was great as always.

Rodney, sorry I didn't get down there to say high but I didn't leave the 2nd level all weekend.

    Matt, thanks for the help.

    Charlie
