    BBC Bass Club 2008 Schedule

Cedar Creek Bass Club is the name of the club that we are merging with to start the new BBC Tournament season. We fish 8 tournaments a year with a classic ending the schedule in October. As Allan and I fish in the Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail as well, we tried to have our tournaments the previous weekend at the lake matching the FOM schedule where possible so 2008 has 4 of the 5 covered.

We pay for all the tournaments up front by halves, First half and membership dues prior to the first event and second half by the 4th event so that the pots are dependable. All dues and tournament fees are 100% paid back. You can check out our website below for the rest.

This is the official schedule for the BBC Bass Club that we talked about guys. Ask the questions now and let's look forward to a great year!

Any particular reason for using the narrows?, I hate that ramp and have never bought the corp pass.

Unfortunately with only 1 tourney on the twins I probably won't fish these. Never been to the other lakes and probably won't.

    Thanks,

That's my price range. I couldn't have done the one where we were talking about a couple hundred dollars a team each t.

So we merged with another existing club?

Yes, but the club has only 5 boats, so I wanted to help them out and we needed to have a bigger turnout too.

Am I assumption is that this is a partner format, where you fish with the same partner all year. Is this correct?

A little confusing to me on how the $$$ is to work out? Y ou guys need to talk with Jeff and DerbyTown... migh be able to merge with them.. they have about 10-15 boats already and want to make it bigger. You fish the same water for about the same $$$ so to me it makes sense... Something to think about. Personally I think the Classic should be on the Big Lakes.

Re: BBC Bass Club 2008 Schedule (bassanine)

The Club had 9 boats and lost some at mid year.... down to 6 now. There was/is sponsor money for the classic and the shcedule already matched the FOM mostly where some clubs may not be so inclined to change. Does Derby City pay back 100% of all the money taken in?

Yes all money collected was paid back 100%, no meeting, no bull... just show up and fish. $60 per tournment per boat. Some goes towards the classic and some went to big fish. Don't know the exact breakdown but its worth a look at to see if its compatible. Would be nice to have 20 or 30 boats every tournment.

Re: BBC Bass Club 2008 Schedule (JC25)

I second on that derby town merger. At $60 a boat and having to split the pots we need to have at least 25-30 to make it worth the trips to some of these lakes. Thats why I was interested in the 100-150/boat, nice fat payouts. I mean I have done dumber things in my life but its not worth investing a day off work, 2-3 hotel nights gas, etc, for a $400-500 pot, then having to split it. Lets see if we can get this up to say 30+ boats or so, then I'd be down like a clown.

Re: BBC Bass Club 2008 Schedule (buzzking2001)

The thing with this one was that we wanted a mostly BBC club. At first, we were going to do a BBC only club, and with the lakes mentioned in this, we counted around 20-25 boats that were interested. That would have made a club with 5-6 boats a BBC dominated club. If we were to join with Derby Town, which has not been asked of us, Derby Town would be huge and BBC would be a small part of it. That was not my plan.

I understand why some guys would not want to travel much unless there was big money involved. For some of us, we are used to driving 2-3 hours to a lake every Saturday for just this purpose, so nothing has changed.

I say that individuals should do what they want to and call it a day

Re: BBC Bass Club 2008 Schedule (mikedaleo)

Perhaps we need to revisit this whole subject and the way it was planned from the beginning. It was not "just" my idea, and there are some things we were going to do, like certain tourney fees to make trips worth while, etc., and I want everyone(or at least the majority) to be happy with our decision.

What I don't want is for us to be like most clubs I have been associated with, and be disagreeing about everything. I will search for the original posts and bring them back to the top.

Looks good and I will fish every one that I can just wish there was a little more variety in the schedule. Maybe add in a laurel, or cumberland tournament just for us south central guys. Every one of those tournaments is 2 1/2hrs or more drive for me.

Re: BBC Bass Club 2008 Schedule (fishinbrad)

hey guys, Me and my partner run derbytown, a couple of years ago when we were running it we averaged about 20 boats per tourny, This year which was our first year running it again we averaged 10 to 15 boats. Next year we will have 8 tournys and a classic. The classic is a pay classic makeing the payout nice. This year for example we only had 10 boats qualify for the classic and we paid back $1920. We already have at least three of us that fish derbytown that our bbc members, so if a bunch of bbc guys came aboard it would be a majority of bbc guys. We run our tournys by the book, no changeing dates or times or rules in midseason. Dont want to step on any toes but the offer is there. As far as cedar creek goes, I fished it several years ago and it was a good group of guys that ran things the same way. Allen driver use to run it and always did a good job. Jeff

Re: BBC Bass Club 2008 Schedule (legal limit lures)

I'm not going to be fishing the Fishers of men next year. This is sounding pretty good to me so once you guys get everything lined out I'll more then likely be on board. What about throwing Green River in the mix that would be a good lake for us central guy.

Re: BBC Bass Club 2008 Schedule (A.J.)

aj, not sure how it is going to work out yet either, like I said you all are welcome to come fish with derbytown if you like. We will have our schedule out around the first of december we are waiting on a few things to see how they are going to work out as far as dates go. We are going to 8 tournys and a classic, we did not fish green last year but it is probably going to be there this year. It would make even more since if we have some central ky guys fishing with us. Our classic will definitely be on ky or barkley, mid to late october to first week of november in that time frame somewhere. Jeff
