Of course I talk to myself...sometimes I need expert advice.
man ive never seen a cold front make such a drastic change in a lake. even the deep fish were affected. i really messed up, i was in the right area fishing structure but just didnt make it happen. my co-angler made it to the 2nd day though. basically the locals dominated this tournament. everyone who did well was fishing isolated brushpiles in 12-18ft.
If it means anything worst day I have ever had on Barren, Not even a bite.
Post front, blue bird skies, pressure still rising, wind out of the north up to 20 MPH. Called Sue at home to find out what was going on because conditions did not match the weather report.
We fished a club tourney out of The Narrows Saturday and fortunately we got 9 lbs off of our first spot...a DEEP point. With almost 100 BFL boats and all the rest of the little tourneys and weekend fishing...if you fished shallow you weren't going to find another place to fish. All our fish came from 15-25 feet on 1/2 oz jigs. We actually saw 4 boats fishing the EXACT SAME POINT at the same time. Finding fish deep was our saving grace. Steve

That's not right on the weights they have listed, What they have for day 1&2 weights is just day 1. I just got back from the weigh in my brother-in-law won the co-angler with 23lbs. and Brett Coffey won the angler not sure what he had but it was more than Mitch had.
So where did Mitch end up. According to the link they have his two day total listed as 24-04 in 1st place. The 2nd place finisher had 21-03 did not list anybody with 23 pounds in the co angler side.
I did see some familiar names on the leader board Andy Greynolds from Liberty (who sometimes visits the Ky/IN/TN OH boards) and Don Ingram on the boater side. Per: web link Mitch Lewis won the co angler side? Looks like Greensburg was well represented![]()
Yea Gene Mitch won it with 24lbs. I forgot exactly what he had when I posted that. And you're right G-burg was well represented.
Some of the fish stayed shallow. I didn't catch anything deeper than 2 foot.
congrats Andy on big fish and being consistent both days... nice!![]()
