I have a son at EKU and a stepson at WKU, I may have to start rooting for them both. I feel like the powers that be at UK WON'T get rid of Tubbster, while the fans WON'T be satisfied with just a 20 win season.....

I honestly think Tubby is going to step down after this year...if he doesn't I think he will be forced to release his entire assisting staff at the minimum.

I don't believe he'll step down but I do absolutely believe there will be some wholesale changes in the coaching staff, yet again. As much as I hate to say it, I think Hanson needs to go and I'm praying Hobbs gets the boot. JMO

The only way I foresee us having a new coach any time soon...will be when the deep pockets of the UK Boosters really rattle Mitch Barnhart's cage. This group (and all of money they have to "contribute"...or not contribute to the program) IMO will likely have the most influence on the outcome of this concern.

Tubby supporters can throw all kinds of statistics at this arguement to show that things aren't as bad as they seem ...and they can even play the race card against those that aren't in Tubby's corner ....but for me the bottom line is this - since his arrival at UK Tubby this program has slowly and steadily declined...to the point where the Cat's are just another SEC team...an average at best SEC team at that. I wonder how many of today's SEC teams lick their chops at the thought of playing UK now? Even at Rupp? Tubby has made it possible for any team...even the cupcakes he schedules every year...to now believe they can beat us. ...and hell, that's happening on a pretty frequent basis now.

There was a time...before Tubby arrived anyway when teams dreaded to play at Rupp...they KNEW they were in for a loss....most SEC teams also KNEW that when the Cats come to their own town...they were also just as likely to lose! Any pyschological edge we use to have is long gone

Tubby is good man...but he is a horrible recruiter (regardless of the obviously over inflated hype accompanying some of the kids brought to UK..and the high number of kids that couldn't start at a Div II school even)...a horrible motivator (we play flat, uninspired basketball more often than not) and a horrible offensive X's and O's kinda guy (do we even have set offensive plays...other than inside out?).

Were screwed now...and the program is screwed...until there is a whole NEW coaching staff at UK...starting with a NEW head coach....and a completely NEW assistant coaching staff. For the first time in my life, I am rooting for the opposition in the Big Dance this year ...we'll likely be the lowest seed that our program has seen in the last 20 years....and I hope we get our asses handed to us...one and done...maybe, just maybe...the voices and the money that goes along with it...will finally be loud enuff to send Tubby back to a Tulsa or similiar type program where they will rejoice in winning 20 games (even with 6-7 cupcakes throw in for good measure) and maybe even an NIT bid.

They need new players too. REDO...REDO....UK players used to walk around town with some class....now....they think they are Snoop Dogg or something. Ever watch UK during warmups? Rupp Arena, a million people in the stands, ESPN covering the game (only because of UK's history)............the other team is serious, focused and acting like they have a mission and a sense of class. UK....playground crap while Tubby is doing a radio ad for Dave Baker's fireplace sale at Denger's Hearth and Home. Yeah...UK needs some changes....BIG CHANGES....more than just a new coach. Stuff like working hard, class, and sense of pride.....not rapper wannabees who are very tall and 13 assistant coaches who don't do anything except hold clipboards and pass out towels. Tubby is only a part of the problem. With the atmosphere of college basketball what it is today and UK's recent history....I can't imagine who would come to UK. Leading scorer in the SEC wanted to though....he was just not good enough for UK.

Baseball team is doing very well though.
