    well you didnt miss much!

Well attempted to tackle the big C again, 7 hrs of effort and 2 14 inch KYs and one 16 in smallie. Long cold day for three frigin peckers. Stayed around beaver creek temps 48 all the way around there. On a high note, I jacked the ol' Rude up about 1/4 and BRIEFLY bumped 65 today and thats with a dinged prop so in some demented way that kind of made the day.

Didnt get to go today but, there was an open out of conley........ top 3 places were 20, 19, 17. Planned on going in the morn, partner backed out. I dont care to brave it by myself, but just to dangerous alone. I'd say tommorow will be a heck of a day for smallies though. Oh well, maybe Monday.

Good decision to not fish alone in the winter. Simply not worth the risks .<-----OK...it is official....I am now my Dad which is a good thing but I never thought I would say stuff like that.

Re: well you didnt miss much! (Rippinlip)

I got out on Green River Lake today for a couple of hours but I was just checking out some equipment. I had an older model Diawa that I finally found a part to fix so I needed to make a few cast. My neighbor had a 7' cranking rod for sale that I tried out. Plus I got to test out the water temp probe I just installed in my livewell. I had been experiencing some hard starting conditions and noticed my primer bulb was not getting firm so I changed the bulb out and took her for a test run. Went off like a bomb first touch of the key. So as you can see I was just out testing equipment. I am now officially ready for spring. Bring on 60 degree water and pre spawn.
