    need help

    i have a 01 225 efi am looking for the black square plastic cover right above the lower unit. im not sure what it is that it covers but there is one on each side of the motor it slides into place and has one screw holding it in. what the heck is that thing. and where do i buy a new one mine is cracked thanks

    That would be the Lower Mount Cover.

    These have been updated in the last few years to a cover that is retained by THREE screws (rather than 1).

    A retrofit kit is required (one per side) to install the new covers.

    Part# 879150A90
