OK how about this instead? grab you yellow pages and get the phone numbers of a couple of the major Dodge dealers in your area, and if you don't mind either IM them to me or send them via email....edandsue@scrtc.com

Ed....go to Dodge.com..then click on Dealer locator...enter your zip code and hit enter...then select a dealership and search their inventory. The first one I checked (Don Marshall in Somerset) has 2, 06 2500 ST models (reg cab, 4X4, cummins, LWB models in stock).

Re: Looking for a New Truck (EdDavisKY)

Ed might want to try Alex Montgomery Dodge in Campsville. They sell alot of diesel trucks. I don't have there phone number but I could get it if you cant find it on the dealer locator's. He also owns the Chevrolet dealership in Burkesville 433-5885 call and ask for the Dodge dealership number in Campsville. As far dealing with them I have never done any business with them but I do know that I live in the middle of a farming community and just about all of the Dodge trucks in my neighborhood came from Alex Montgomery's lot.

I don't see why you would want to turn down a quad or mega cab. My biggest aggrevation on my truck is not having enough room. Not sure to what the downside would be to having one with this.

I'm with Billy on this one Ed. I think once you had an extra cab or 1/2 you would never go back.

Re: Looking for a New Truck (Joe Skeeter)

Joe and Billy I agree on the extra room, but the wheel base is a killer. And I want a full size bed, which you can not get with the Quad or Mega Cab.
Just me and the wife don't see a reason for the 4 doors, but who knows.
The one I now have is the extended cab, and we are keeping it...Wheel base length and cost is the major difference. All the Mega cabs are over 44K and the Quad cabs are over 40K. Regular cabs are under 40K. That's a big chunk of money to be laying out in cash specially when you are retired

Well now you come on here and we are trying to talk you out of it as well...LOL. I just figure the only reason I need my truck bed is for things around the house. On the road I tend to be lacking cab space. Since you are keeping your old truck it should have enough bed space for most of what you need.

The other thing you might consider is re-sale. If the majority of trucks are bigger cabs that is probably what most people want.

ED just my 2 cents but I would look at the Quad cab my dad has a 2004 with a full size bed not sure if they quit making them after 04 but what ever you get is still going to be a great truck as long as its a DODGE with a CUMMINS

Re: Looking for a New Truck (BradJFD)

Well we pulled the plug and got us a 2007 2500 quad cab, cummins, auto trans, 4x4, shot box. Inferno Red is the color with grey interior, and the Big Horn package.
Truck is still in St. Louis and dealer is sending someone after it either tomorrow or Friday. If everything goes well should have it by Wednesday of next week.

Then it will be off to get the bed liner sprayed in and running board put on it.
    Dam 11 yrs ago I got a 30K truck for X-mas this year a 40K truck.

Oh can you believe they only offered my 5000 for my truck
So now I will have not one but TWO Dodge Cummins diesels
Pictures will fallow as soon as I can take them or should say, when I take delivery on the truck
