Fuel line size?

I'm in the process of replacing the fuel lines on my 2004 optimax 135, our local merc dealer said that he only carries one diameter of fuel line, he said it will work from both the tank to the bulb and the bulb to the engine, I think he said it's the 5/16inch size. Can anyone tell me if that's correct? It is the new gray line with blue writing.

So I guess my question is, would it be ok to run 5/16 from my tank to my bulb, and my bulb to my engine? I'm only going to need about 2 feet to go from my tank to my bulb, and another 2 feet from my bulb to my engine. Will this give my 135 Opti enough fuel to run WO?

Traditionally, 3/8" is used from the tank to the bulb, and 5/16" is used from the Bulb to the engine.

However.... it IS acceptable to utilize 5/16" line for the entire run, IF the total line length will NOT EXCEED 8' IN LENGTH.

BTW... your dealer can obtain 3/8" line (100' Bulk Roll) under Part# 8M0038653
