    Re: 2050??? (JC25)

its bologna, they talk this same crap every year with the amount of crude oil left in the world and how in 50 yrs there will be no more gas. Yes the factual #s are accurate statistics, what they choose not to include in stories like this (for dramatic affect), is the exponential rate at which technology is advancing and making such resources go farther. There is a relationship between natural resources and technological development that keeps the human race just above the line of really causing terminal harm to our planet. We will always find a way.

Statistics can be twisted to fit what every anyone wants them to fit.

One article seeing only one side of the equation is normal for the media, to get the full story you need to look at both sides then make your own judgement.
As far as I am concerned, population/birth rate needs to be controlled first and foremost to control the population growth...which is a bad subject with Religion.

There are two kinds of predictions.....lucky and wrong!

"Those who have knowledge, don't predict. Those who predict, don't have knowledge. "
--Lao Tzu, 6th Century BC Chinese Poet

Wise words from a long time ago.

"Prediction is very difficult, especially if it's about the future."

"Forecasting is the art of saying what will happen, and then explaining why it didn't! "

I don't believe it for one minute.
