    Barren

Well father-in-law is gone after being here almost a week Sue was even glad to see him leave

So in celebration I will be going to Barren both Friday and Saturday.
Sense Sue is not yet ready to start fishing I have a open seat.

    Re: Barren (Bluegrass)

Ok will try and give you a blow by blow account of today
First off got there right before sun rise, and could not run any where till around 9 -930 AM due to HEAVY fog.
Idled to the band right across from the Narrows marina (one with island) and had one slap at a top water. Had a keeper take a swipe at a jig & pig, at the surface, when I was reeling it in, after I was threw working it. Other than that was a hit and miss thing. Did catch 3, 2 shorts and one keeper. All on of all things 6" worms.
Tried everything I could thing of and they did not want anything to do with big worms, or craws that I could find.
Where I caught mine where on main lake point, on channel breaks where it drops off into 18 - 20 ft of water. After coming back in talk to some guys that had been hybrid fishing using spoons and they said they caught two or three nice bass on spoons in 20 ft of water while jigging for hybrids.
Don't know yet if they are calling for heavy fog again in the morning or not. OH I quit around 3 PM. So you could say I went fishing for 9 hrs. BUT really only got to do some real fishing for 6 hrs DAM fog...was as thick as pea soup.
I sense my boat does not have radar I will not run in that stuff, could not even see other boats lights when they went by close only heard them. SO I was bank hugging
OH and they are supposed to start the first stage of drawdown today. Only other thing I figured out with a C rig is you where not feeling rocks forget it...muck, mud no bits.
Rocks exposed in the river channels
That’s my report for not doing much but catching 3, A lot of detail about much to do about nothing
