Any predictions for KY/Barkley FLW Tournament this week.

I predict it will be won on the drops of KY lake. I also predict that at least one and probably more of these 4 guys will make the top 10. Terry Boulton, Dan Morehead,David Fritts ,and David Young.

Cant say WHO but I will guess it will be on crankbaits on ledges. Too many folks fishing shallow and the fish are getting beat up. I think there are enough fish on the ledges that it will be won there.

Good pick and I'm not ruling anybody out, I'm saying local knowledge is a huge asset when the fish are on offshore structure like we think they'll be this time. Also with the tourneys this last week most didn't get the practise time they normally take.

While I wouldn't predect any of my picks would necessarly win, they've won 2 of the last 4 FlWs here, plus a second place finish and 3 other top 10s. 1 of the 2 they didn't win was a high water tourney. They've also won 2 of the last 3 everstarts here. I for sure wouldn't bet against them, Or Tunderwood at night.

I'll probably take the boat out and watch some after the cut. Maybe I'll learn something.

Buck, Here's a good question. Why do the fish tear up a crankbait when they first hit the ledges, then tend to ignor them later in the year? They get tired of seeing them? Or is it just me.

Now if they would just have the Bassmaster Classic at night.

You want to get together Fri or Sat? I plan on staying at Mom's Friday night. I think I can keep up with them in my old Toon.

All my picks got at least 2 picks on the FLW site. I should have gone out on a limb and picked some underdogs.

3rd, 7th, 48th and 99th. Not too bad 2 out of 4 made the cut.

I saw that some guys are fighting the wind in some deeper water, in fact, the leader was throwing a 3/4 ounce jig in deeper water. I wonder just how deep they were fishing and if it was ledges? Terry Bolton said he got beat up out in the wind fishing deep water all day long.

Bolton came in second because of a dead fish.He said that happens sometime when you fish that deep. I felt sory for him, would have won by 4 ounces.
That was pretty neat at the fun center, met a lot of people today

    That is my son Jeremy

I watched Bolton nearly all day Friday and I can assure you he got beat up in the wind. He was defiantly fishing ledges. Mostly main Lake. He never picked up a crank bait all day. He used a jig and a spinner bait. I don't have any idea how he was strokin' that jig in that wind. I guess cause he does it all the time. It just really sucks to loose cause of a dead fish.

Talking about the wind I saw a guy in an older ranger take one right over the bow and nearly disappear underwater. Very scary for sure. One of the guys at the weigh in said if you want to know what your equipment is made of come to KY Lake and she will show you. That has to be the truest words ever spoken.

I've seen it when it gets big and it is tough enough to drive in it, how they fish in it I will never know. I guess $100,000 helps a little but those guys are good!

What amazes me every time is how hard those guys will run in that kind of water. I'm talking 50-60 MPH. I don't really their Rangers are that much better than my Toon. I just think they have a few more.... how can I say it.... balls. And they don't have to worry about the boat.
