Oh boy did it hail. We had to cover our ears at the marina it was so loud hitting the tin roof. The hail was floting and covering the whole bay when it ended. I'm sure glad I got to the dock before the hail started.

It was definitely fun in the hail yesterday....lol. Actually we saw the nasty stuff coming and made it into the marina and hid out. Talked to Buck last night so he is ok.
You wimps. We fished right through the hale<-----btw Mike that is how you spell it.Actually we got rained on REAL hard one time for about 10 minutes and besides the winds we had decent weather.
Buck
The hail storm seem to shut the fish (crappie) down for several hours. But they picked back up the next day. I actually saw a bass making bed this afternoon.( was on the TN end of KY lake. I guess it's time for me to put up the crappie poles anyway. I had 3 keeper bass on roadrunners today. Probably better than I'd have done bass fishing. And no I couldn't catch the fish on the bed, but I'm working on that.

We caught around 130 between 8 of us, not too good for this time of year. They were scattered where we were on the north end. Had to contend with the 20 mph daily wind either from the south or the north. The heavy weather was north and south of us on Friday, just got a little hail. Bob sorry you couldn't make it you would have had fun. And buck I left you a message to come and eat and YOU PASSED IT UP!! Never thought I'd see that day.

We did OK but not great by the big lakes standards. On Thursday we would have had about 15/16# in five fish. We caught alot of short fish on Thursday too. I did manage one at 6 1/2#first thing in the morning. I thought it was going to be a banner trip and wish I had that fish on Saturday.

On Friday we had lots of short fish and about four keepers but none over about 3#.
On Saturday (first tourney day) we only weighed in three keepers for 7-15#.
On Sunday we had four fish for 9.1# for a total of 17#. That was good enough for second place and a check but the winners walked away with a two day total for 32#. On day #1 they caught their fish (including a 7 pounder) on crankbaits on points. On day #2 they had 20# on spinnerbaits super shallow including another fish in the upper 6# range. Good job to those boys.![]()
We fished north Barkley the whole time. We had wind every dayand a big cold front on Friday night/Saturday morning. Water temps were 59-63 and the lake was rising, even getting to the flowers in some spots.
Team Extreme was there having their three day classic and the winners had a three day total and just over 70#. They reportedly caught there fish on a mainlake creek channel with Rattle Traps. That is impressive.

I also saw a 10 pounder get weighed in at another club's tourney. That was a big mama.![]()
All in all it was a good trip and Ken (bassanine) and I had alot of fun, ate well and caught some fish everyday....and won enough money to pay for gas and food. Will be back there in two weeks for FOM and we will need a good sack.
Joe....my cell died and I got your message in the truck on the way home. Sorry I missed you guys (and your sammiches) but the club guys started rolling in on Friday and I would not been able to drive to the Moor's anyway after about 10 minutes off the water each day.
Thanks for the offer though and sounds like you all had fun.
Buck
Buck it was Team Supreme(187 boats) that it took 70 lbs to win they were out of the Moors and we watched most of the weigh in each day. The winners caught their fish on jigs on a creek channel next to a spawning area. Some of the other top weights were caught on traps though.
Gotta try to have some fun, work sucks this week.![]()
Sounds like you guys did good Buck,,considering the wind and weather conditions.
