    Filter/water seperator

    Is the filter/water seperator KIT
    Product No: 18458Q 4
sufficent for all filtering or could an inline visible filter hurt at the input or output of this filter in order to make it easy to observe the condition?

    Re: Filter/water seperator (rolloman)

Mercury does not recommend running a after market or any extra fuel filter on their motors.

O.k. I'll just continue to change it out each season.

    +1

Your engine is already equipped with an adequate level of filtration (via the 18458Q4 or 18458T4 Water Separating Filter located under the cowling).

That actually holds true for ALL of Mercury's engines.
