    Heading to Dale Hollow!

I don't want to sore-mouth all the fish in Barren for Mike and Buck this weekend so I'm going to see if I can get a smallie to bite! Hopefully I'll have some pics for yall tonight!

Nope! I caught a big bluegill on my first cast and didn't catch anything or get bit until 3pm! Only thing I caught was a 2lb 2oz smallie.

I looked for you at Barren today. Should have been there I sure hope Mike and Buck don't mind If I caught a few. I know in a previous post they said that Barren was off limits for seven days before the tournament and nobody could even help with info seven days before the tournament so... The most interesting thing I saw today was when I went to load the boat I noticed the truck parked next to me had a FOM license plate. Now I don't know if he is fishing this weekend but he sure was today

Daniel what water temp were you reading? Was the water color still pretty stained from all that rain? Are you getting close to switching to your green fish?

I'll be down there for about 5 days the first week in April. I've been doing arm curls to prepare for the work out from the JERK BAITS.

It seems some years the afternoon bite is better than the morning bite (who knows).

Jamie, the main lake was 49 in the am and 52 in the pm. Very clear. Less clear up in mitchell creek but still very clear. I went up the wolf river and it was stained to murky the farther you went.

I've already switched to green fish, just thought I could catch a smallie on a jerkbait. Let me know if you need anybody to fish with the days your there. I'm dying to learn how to fish a jerkbait. I've heard it's awesome there. I went with a guide once that showed me some clay/gravel flats that were good for jerkbaits.

    Thanks for the info Daniel.

We definitely switch to different bank contours and red clay/ gravel bottoms.

I'll get in contact with you about wetting a line @ DH.
