    Great News

I bought this house about 4 years ago and thought I was doing the smart thing. Had it built in just the right spot, even finished the basement. Well, one year after I bought it the state started talking about the 2nd bridge to be built across the Ohio and started marking off my neighborhood. They even bought some occupied homes about 1/4 mile away. Turned out they were going to put a highway overpass 300 yards from my barbeque grill!!!

Well, they have now rerouted the highway and it goes right through my house! They will be buying my house for fair market value in a few years, which is fair enough.

Sometimes things just kinda work themselves out

I was thinking about the proximity to the lakes you fish or would like to fish more. You'd be right next to the wk pkwy for ky/barkley, about 1hr 45min from dale hollow and you know what's in between. You'd be 40 min from louisville. Good luck on making a decision to keep everybody happy.

Actually, E-Town is perfect The problem is that I have a wife and kids and I want to make sure they are happy wherever we are. They love it here, but I would rather be a little further south

Screw Etown. It is a nice city but your family would be just as happy in Draeffenville. Plus you can have a seperate room for me.

I want my kids to learn the English language the way it was meant to be spoken, no offense to our members living in that area. Otherwise, yeah that would be one hell of a place to live.

I grew up in E'town...great place to live if you like to fish. Close to Barren, Rough, and Nolin and if you want to go after fish on KY or Dale its not a bad trip at all. Gonna suck if you move there though...living 5 minutes away from my fishing partner is pretty convenient.

Either way, its good news that they are going to buy the house from you because it would stink to live under a highway.

Best case scenerio, I find a couple of acres with a detached garage big enough for the boat somewhere on the outskirts of our small town here, but we've discusses this Doc. How likely is that?

My wife likes it here so I am probably stuck.

Best case scenerio....you move to the banks of Lake Fork and I come to visit monthly. If your kids can survive in Indiana they can make it anywhere.

No offense taken here....we already have enough ignorant people living here without adding to the population.

If you're ignorant I am in trouble

I don't think anyone down there is ignorant, I meant the accent some folks have is different than ours.

As in....Deliverance? Not quite that bad down there. I mean we are just talking about an accent. Now eastern KY, that is different.
