    Hello from a new guy

I just wanted to post and introduce myself. I have been visiting the BBC site for a year or so, but have never registered or posted, so I thought I would get to it. My name is Nathan DePoyster and I live in Jeffersonville, IN. I am also going to be one of your friendly marine department guys at the new Bass Pro. I am hoping to get a lot more fishing done next year, as I didn't even licsense the boat in '05. My father is ill, so I gave up most of my fishing time to help him out. I would love to get in a bass club and start fishing some tournaments again. Any light you all can shed on the subject would be appreciated. Thanks, and nice to meet everyone.

P.S. Oh yeah, my boat is a '00 Alumacraft Superhawk with an '85 Evinrude 40. Not real impressive, but what can I say I'm young and poor.

Are you from the area? Have you fished the local lakes?

Fish don't care how fast your boat is. Try not to laugh when you see one of us crying at the gas pumps.

Re: Hello from a new guy (Nate D.)

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I am originally from this area. I spent last year living in Western Kentucky (Grand Rivers). I worked at a marina there and fished as much as humanly possible. I grew up in Jeff and have fished Patoka, Hardy, Nolin, Rough, Barren River, Cumberland, Kentucky, Barkley, and most of the small electric only lakes, also. I have never fished Dale Hollow, Monroe, or West Boggs. I am 25 and my family has a place on Nolin, so I remember fishing there when my father's 79' starcraft wasn't very old. Thanks again everyone, and I'll definitely see you at the "secret" meeting place!

Hey Nate, good to have you on board. Grand Rivers area....makes me think of Patty's! GREAT food! Anyway, like several have said, there are several of us in the local area. I grew up in Jeff and now I am in Floyds Knobs. If you are interested in a bass club would love to expose you to mine as there are several of us here in the Indiana/Kentucky boards that belong. We have a good group of guys and always welcome new members.

Hope to meet you soon at the "Secret Meeting Place"!

Re: Hello from a new guy (Nate D.)

Sorry for the late reply. I've been working 65 hours a week to get Bass Pro ready for you guys. My uncle now owns the place on Nolin, and it is in Nolin Lake estates. It's on the water, close to Iberia. I hope to be there a lot more next year.
