175 HPDI or 175 Pro XS?

Hey guys need some input here to help me make a decision...

I'm buying a new Skeeter ZX190 with a 175 on it but I can't decide if I want a Yammie or a Merc on it.

If you had a choice and the price was the same which would you choose and why?

Not many Skeeters around with Merc's on them. Skeeter and Yamaha are owned by the same folks so unless you have a dealer that can order one with no motor and then install the Merc, you're probably going to have to get it with the HPDI.

Yeah I may buy both seperately and have the dealer rig the motor on it.

IMO both are VERY good engines. If i was choosing between these two setups i would go pro xs to get the optimax fuel/oil economy. I think youll be happy either way.

    I'd choose the ProXS... hands-down.

I used to be a Yammie man, and still love the sweet sound of a Yammie

But after buying my first Optimax (150 Opti) 4 years ago I find myself getting more and more in love with them trip by trip. They are just awesome motors, both regarding power and fuel/oil consumption. But more important is the Mercury service, simply the best I have ever tried. Also parts availability is much better if you are capable of doing repairs yourself. SmartCraft is another great thing that makes Mercury motors special. I don't think I could ever live without

AND NOT TO FORGET !!!! Mercury has THE BEST tech in the US, MR. DON himself !!

    Thanks
