    smart craft connection

    I'm hooking up a gauge to an 05 225 opti to a 95 ranger that had a 150 XR6 ,I didnt know if you could just hook the blue line or need the other wire that came with the gauge ,i think I need it to get the purple to get power to gauge but not sure what the other connecters are for ,any help will be appreciated

    This can be done- however the cable you have pictured is not a suitable choice (it lacks the required Terminating Resistors).

    Obtain a Part# 879982T20 cable. Plug engine end directly in at engine (where current terminating resistor is on engine).

    Plug other end of cable directly into the back of the System Monitor.

    Disregard BOTH harnesses you have.

    Installation DONE.
