With the purchase of this motor and no record of previous oil type. What oil should I be using and is there some indicator that can be coaxed out of computer that might tell previous oil type?
What about lower unit oil, type, grade and quanity? Thanks!
XD-50 or XD-100, there is no way for the computer to let you know what oil has been used.
The gear lube....I would suggest BRP Ultra HPF, your motor will take 33oz.

Is there a limit or setpoint that needs changed in computer for either of recommended oils? I thought that I had read something to that point in posts somewhere.
