Wheel Lug Nut Size & Style

I have a 2011 Triton 21XS Elite sitting on a 2011 Marine Master trailer. Would anyone be able to tell me the lug nut size and and style so I can order a set of wheel locks? I need the style information to make sure the lug nuts seat against the wheel properly.

    Thanks Hank

How about take a lugnut off of the trailer, drive down to the local autoparts store and pic out a set of locks.

Thanks Skeet'r89 I thought about that but there are a few things I would need to know. How many threads per inch, what is the pitch of the threads to name a couple. And an auto parts store surely won't know what type and size lug nuts a Marine Master boat trailer has.

Re: Wheel Lug Nut Size & Style (cshore)

Chris that's exactly what I needed to know. After returning from 2 night tournaments last year several members of my Bassclub had all 5 of their wheels and tires stolen. To make matters worse the police weren't very helpful and actually joked that perhaps they could buy them back once they were listed on
    E-bay.

    Thanks A Million

Most auto parts stores have a STUD RACK/BOARD that you can take one of your existing lug nuts and try it on various studs to determine the correct lugnut.

    Hi Chris,

I went to McGards website and they actually sell a set of marine trailer wheel locks.
They also say that almost all boat trailers use a 1/2-20 cone style lug nut. Do you consider a cone style the same as an acorn style? I noticed that you are in the tire business so I'm sure you're well versed in all wheel, tire, lug issues.

    Thanks Hank

I recently had to replace the wheel locks on one of my trailers. I came across the Gorilla Wheel Locks and really like them. You can order them so the lock tool uses the same size socket as your lug nuts. You can also order a spare lock tool when you order the locks, one in the truck and one in the garage.
