I want to change bearings on my boat trailer. I have a Ranger trail trailer, and on the wheel it says Ranger trail "cool". What bearings do I get to replace the ones I have????

Take a pair of your old bearings and bearing races to an auto parts store. They should be able to match them to new ones. It's a good idea to take an old inner grease seal with you too so that you can buy new ones of those also. Be sure to get the seals that have two inner lips--one lip to hold grease in and one lip to hold water out.

You can take your bearings to an auto parts store as BassVotary said but unless you have had damage inside, you should not need to replace the races. I have used Pacific Boat trailers at:

You can find the bearing ID number on the bearing and match it on the parts in Pacific's web page.
or...
You can contact Ranger parts department with your VIN# and they will tell you what you need.

Not to be nosy, but why do you need to change the bearings? Did they disintegrate? Also, if you're replacing the bearings, you'll need to replace the seals, too. You can always order them directly from Ranger.
"The man of system is apt to be very wise in his own conceit; and is often so enamored with the supposed beauty of his own ideal plan of government that he cannot suffer the smallest deviation from any part of it…He seems to imagine that he can arrange the different members of a great society with as much ease as the hand arranges the different pieces upon a chessboard.” Adam Smith, The Theory of Moral Sentiments
I have always replaced the races if I replace the bearings - the old races have most likely worn some and the tolerances will be off. It is too cheap and easy to change the races while you have everything apart, than have to do it on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.... JMO.
Always use new races with new bearings, and use a race driver and not a punch to drive them in. Autozone reants them for free.
