I just bought a bass boat with a 2005 Champion aluminum trailer under it. I don't think the previous owner ever cleaned it with soap, water or any type of cleaner.
I've tried never dull on the diamond checkered fenders, but did not get much cleaner..
Does anyone have a reccomendation on what type of chemical or cleaner to use to restore a nice shine?

You might talk to somebody that acid washes semi trailers. Lots of folks have aluminum stock trailers acid washed. Makes them shine like new.
