    Trailer Jack Replacement

I have a 2001 Champion with dual axle trailer, My trailer jack is shot and I'm trying to replace it. The qne on the trailer is held on the side of the trailer with a clip ring. My problem is know one makes that type of jack any more. Has anyone had to replace this type of jack? Thanks Bob J

    Re: Trailer Jack Replacement (bobj)

If your jack is held on by a round snap ring, then I've heard that tractor supply has the same type with the same size snap ring. I havent checked into it but I've read that somewhere. Might be worth a try. You have a tractor supply on Rt. 311 just before where it meets at Rt. 22. Good luck with it.
If it doesnt have wheels, swim, or run naked in the woods, I don\'t know anything about it.

on what Joe 73 said. That is exactly what I did when I replaced my jack. I just got the weld on type with the ring, at TSC, and made sure the collar sizes were the same. Pulled the old jack off, put the new one on and used the new ring that came with. So I had to scrap the plate with the collar, got a new jack and that is all that matters, right?

I ran into the same problem as you when I was replacing mine a while back. All the jacks I could find had the mount that bolted to the trailer frame. After staring at one for a while, I noticed that the mount was held onto the jack with a clip ring. I took the mount off and was left with exactly what I wanted - just the ring clip.

Here is where you should find the ring clip (if it has one):

I found a replacement jack at e-Trailer, the exact jack I needed with clip. They were great to deal with and I had the jack in four days. Its all been replaced and fits great. The new jack even came with zerk fitting installed for greasing. Thanks to everyone who gave me input.
