I have a single axle ranger trailer and the tires are about half to the wear bar with minimal sidewall cracks. One tire is mfg. '97 and the other '99.
Cracks aside - would you replace tires solely based on age?
If so, how old is too old?

I ended up replacing both of them...better safe than sorry.
