While changing my water pump on my 250xs I decided to tinker and took the cover off the shift shaft. Hmmmmm. The gasket had obviously broke sometime. I also figured out that the gasket serves a dual purpose in that it seals the speedo tube. Well since my speedo hasnt worked in forever I thought lets get a new gasket and see what happens. Ordered my parts from Rhonda at European and put it together. It works. The speedo actually works after 5 years. Must be common.
Also changed all my fuel lines, bulbs and pulse pump after finding a small piece in the filter. I swear the thing is faster now.
