What weight oil goes in the oil bath hubs? Do you fill to the top of the fill hole?
What weight oil goes in the oil bath hubs? Do you fill to the top of the fill hole?
Mine were always filled at 50% on my ranger trailer. I would suspect you don't want to fill them full as the oil will need to expand as it heats up. Dunno what the oil weight was that was in them....sorry.

Use standard 50 weight motor oil. Do not use heavier or lighter weight oils;
variations in oil additives and viscosity can affect oil containment in the GOLD
system."

I have Gold Series on my Stratos and recommends 50w and full up. Gold cap is designed to expand with the temp increase. Also leaving it less than full can cause a vaccume when you the wheels go in the water and ther warm from only being partially filled. My $0.02 and Gold Series.![]()

I've heard to use 50w Valvoline racing oil. Some posts suggest that you don't use synthetic....no idea why!
