    Trailer tire wear

I have 2003 198 Champion with a factory trailer that I bought fall of 2009. When I bought it the guy I bought it from said he had just replaced the tires, which they looked pretty new. I have pulled the boat one year and the are down to the cords on the outside edge on both tires. The are Good year tires, which I have never had any luck with Good Year tires but they were on there so I figured I would run them till they were worn out. I just thought I would get more than a year out of them!
Does the trailer need aligned? Can you align a boat trailer? I hate to put a new set of tires on and only get a year out of them.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks....

I have the same problem on my boat trailer. I talked with EZ Loader and they told me that I need to have the trailer aligned. The only way that I understand to align the trailer is bend the axle. There are shops that can do this.

I had the same problem with my champion trailer. Take it to a trailer shop and have them align or bend axle. It may have too much camber in it and need straightened like mine did. After it was done my tires wore great.

Sounds like your not running enough tire pressure, check the tire sidewall for proper pressure..

He said that the out side of tires are wearing . That is not an air preassure problem . Low air pressure Both inside and out side will weare . To much air pressure and the middle of the tire will wear.
